The glue adheres to the garments when it is melted at the correct settings and is absorbed into the pores of the garment forming a lasting bond. Over heating of the patch can destroy the glue, you will notice this when the ‘unstuck’ patch does not show any sign of glue left on the reverse, if you still have a shiny back, then this could indicate that the heat is not set high enough.
Note: if increasing temperature, reduce the pressing time, if increasing the pressing time then reduce the temperature.
Our patches can also cover existing embroidery (recommend either embroidered or thermal patches for this), but allow a slightly larger patch to cover.

When removing garment from heat press, lift from both sides of garment, as woven patches are thinner uneven pulling may result in the patch becoming ‘mis-shaped’ while the glue is still hot & pliable, if this does happen it can be manipulated back to shape if it is done whilst still hot.
If applying to items such as Kit Bags, use slightly less temperature / pressing time.
The iron on patches are not designed to apply to garments with a protective coating, although a lot of our customers do successfully manage to apply to rainwear, this is not something we guarantee, this is also more effective when using a bottom heating heat press.
Testing on your garments is strongly recommended, we can send out generic samples of patches to allow you to do this.
Removing old patches from garments.
Set temperature to 190 degrees and press for 15-20 seconds
Pick patch from sides always pulling towards the centre to avoid garment stretching
If the garment does stretch a little (highly possible), this can be ‘scrunched’ under the new patch when applying.
When you remove the old patch, this will leave a mark where the patch has been applied.
The removed patches CANNOT be used again.
