Application Instructions for Adhesive Patches

When applying our adhesive patches to garments, it is crucial to melt the glue at the correct settings. This ensures the glue is absorbed into the fabric's pores, forming a durable bond. Overheating can destroy the glue, evident when the patch does not adhere and no glue residue is visible on the reverse side. Conversely, a shiny back indicates insufficient heat.

Note: Adjust temperature and pressing time inversely for optimal results.

Patch Applications:

Our patches can also cover existing embroidery. We recommend using either embroidered or thermal patches for this purpose, ensuring the covering patch is slightly larger.

Embroidered / Thermal Print Transfer Patches:

1. Heat Press Settings:

   - Top Heating: 160-165°C

   - Bottom Heating: 155-160°C

   - Position the patch on the garment.

   - Cover with a Teflon sheet or appropriate material.

   - Firmly press with the heat press:

     - Top Heating: 12-15 seconds

Special Instructions:

- For items like kit bags, use slightly lower temperature and pressing time.

- Iron-on patches are not designed for garments with protective coatings, although some customers successfully apply them to rainwear using a bottom heating heat press.

- Testing on your garments is strongly recommended. Generic samples are available upon request.

Removing Old Patches:

1. Set the heat press to 190°C and press for 15-20 seconds.

2. Remove the patch by picking from the sides and pulling towards the center to prevent garment stretching.

3. If stretching occurs, it can be adjusted under the new patch during application.

4. Note that removing a patch will leave a mark and the old patch cannot be reused.
